Fan Minjun is a high-end residential designer in China and the founder of Shanghai Manshe Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. He founded Manshe in 2011, dedicated to creating high-end residential products for the elite group.After Manshe’s strategic merger with Ziroom in 2021, Fan Minjun took up the position of Chief Product Officer at Ziroom, responsible for enhancing the design and quality of residential products.
His design works have been repeatedly featured in internationally authoritative magazines; for example, “Xiao Rong Zhai”(Little Rong Mansion), designed by him in 2020, was selected into the Global Curated Home Collection of AD Architectural Digest, and the “Ping’an Building Project’ won the China Interior Design Award from ELLE DECORATION in 2021.
As of 2023, he has overseen the renovation of more than 1,000 historical buildings in Shang- hai, integrating contemporary aesthetics with historical charm.
Fan Minjun founded Manshe in 2011, focusing on high-end residential design and rental ser- vices. In April 2021, Manshe reached a strategic merger with Ziroom and became its wholly-owned subsidiary. Fan Minjun then took up the position of Chief Product Officer at Ziroom, leading the R&D and aesthetic design of residential products. As of 2025, he serves as Chair- man of Shanghai Manshe Enterprise Development Co., Ltd., holding a 19.73% stake in the company.
Design Philosophy and Projects
Fan Minjun has been engaged in the renovation of historical buildings in Shanghai since 2001. As of 2023, he has completed the renewal of over 1,000 old western-style houses and apartments.
He advocates integrating contemporary design into historical buildings. His representative works include “Xiao Rong Zhai” (Little Rong Mansion)in 2020 and “Ping’an Building” in 2021, with the latter winning the China Interior Design Award.
In 2023, he led the renovation of the 1936-era building at Xingguo Road, balancing artistic style with residential functionality.
